Company Overview
Inter-Pacific Securities Sdn Bhd (“IPS”) was incorporated on 30 August 1972 under the name of Malayan Traders & Co. Sendirian and subsequently assumed its present name on 30 April 1990. IPS holds a Capital Market Services licence under the Capital Market and Services Act 2007 and is a Participating Organisation of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and a Trading Participant of Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Berhad.
IPS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Inter-Pacific Capital Sdn Bhd (“IPC”), an investment holding company. IPC is in turn a subsidiary of Berjaya Corporation Berhad, a company listed on the main board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
IPS has a paid-up capital of RM250 million and audited shareholders’ funds of RM268 million as at 30 June 2023. Presently there is a combined headcount of approximately 400 staff, dealers and remisiers. IPS is a 1+1 broker with its principal office in Kuala Lumpur, and branch offices in Danau Desa, Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, Johor Bahru and Penang.
IPS is in full compliance with all regulatory requirements including capital adequacy ratios, adequacy of bumiputra licenced dealers as well as employment. We are equipped with an efficient front-end trading and back-office system to meet the ever-changing investment landscape and demanding investors’ expectations.

YAM Tunku Tun Aminah Binti Sultan Ibrahim Ismail
NON-EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN
Her Highness was appointed to the Board on 6 April 2023.
Her Highness graduated from the prestigious LA Salle School of Arts in Singapore.
Currently, Her Highness is the Chairman of Berjaya Corporation Berhad, REDtone Digital Berhad, Berjaya Assets Berhad, Berjaya Capital Berhad, Berjaya Hartanah Berhad and Bukit Kiara Resort Berhad. Her Highness has considerable experience in heading private organisations across a broad range of industries and is a Director on the board of several other private companies, including Berjaya Waterfront Sdn Bhd, Cekap Urus Sdn Bhd, Jauhari Maksima Sdn Bhd and Ibzi Holdings Sdn Bhd. Her Highness also holds the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) franchise in Stulang Laut, Johor Bahru.
YAM Tunku Aminah is also the current president of the Johor Darul Ta’zim Football Club (also known as JDT), a football club based in Johor Bharu.
Muhammad Lukman Bin Musa @ Hussain
NON-EXECUTIVE DEPUTY CHAIRMAN
Encik Muhammad Lukman Bin Musa commenced his career in 1998 as an external auditor with Andersen & Co (Malaysia). In 2001, he has pursued his career in United Kingdom and his last position in United Kingdom was as the Manager in Banking & Capital Market Division at the London office of Ernst & Young LLP, United Kingdom. Upon his return in 2008, he joined Ernst & Young (Malaysia) as the Audit and Assurance Director, and was responsible in managing various Government Linked and Multinational Companies portfolio. In 2011, he left Ernst & Young (Malaysia) to hold the position as Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer of Unitar Capital Sdn. Bhd. (UNITAR), the operator of UNITAR International University, and a subsidiary of Ekuiti Nasional Berhad. In June 2016, he left UNITAR and joined MARA Corporation Sdn. Bhd., a strategic investment holding company of Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) as the Acting Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer. In July 2019, he left MARA Corporation Sdn. Bhd and joined ECS Solutions Sdn. Bhd., a boutique management and advisory firm, as an Advisor.
In March 2022, he has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Berjaya Capital Berhad, the investment holding company of Inter Pacific Securities Sdn Bhd.
He holds a Bachelor in Accountancy Studies from University of Porstmouth, United Kingdom. He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant from Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
Dato’ Haji Abd Aziz Bin Abu Bakar
INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Dato’ Haji Abd Aziz, an accounting graduate from Universiti Teknologi MARA, is a leading tax specialist with over 30 years of professional experience. He is the President of the Malaysian Association of Tax Accountants, a member of the Harvard Business School Alumni Club of Malaysia , an Islamic Financial Planner and a member of Financial Planning Association of Malaysia. He is also a member of the Board of Governors at Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Member of Customs Oversight Committee under the Ministry of Finance Malaysia and Member of Economic Advisory Council – Dewan Perdagangan Islam Malaysia.
Dato’ Hj. Abd. Aziz started his career with an International Accounting Firm doing audits, corporate recovery assignments and taxation, including income tax of multinational companies and other local medium and large corporations. Hence he has gain extensive experience in corporate and individual tax planning, tax audits, tax investigation cases, GST/SST, tax compliance and business & financial advisory matters.
He receives regular invitations to participate in dialogues and discussions with the Ministry of Finance, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department on tax issues, as well as to propose recommendations to assist in resolving direct and indirect tax issues. Apart from that, he regularly appears on local TV networks and Radio stations, local Universities to discuss issues on the economy, direct and indirect tax matters particularly Income Tax, GST, SST and Zakat.
He co-authored the book on Zakat Management and Taxation published by the Islamic Banking and Financial Institutions Malaysia. He is also the Advisor for Buku Bajet & Maklumat Cukai published annually by MATA which analyses Malaysia’s Annual Federal Government Budget tabled in Parliament. He was awarded the ‘Certificate of Merit’ from World Customs Organization for rendering exceptional and distinguished contribution to the International Customs Community.
Abdul Halim Bin Haji Noordin
INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Encik Abdul Halim Bin Noordin was appointed to the Board of Inter-Pacific Securities Sdn Bhd on 1 June 2017. He graduated from Ohio University in the United States in 1981 with a Bachelor in Administration (Hons.) In 1983, he obtained an MBA (Finance and Investment) from the George Washington University, Washington D.C.
He has more than 19 years experience in the fund management, unit trust management and stockbroking industry in companies like Malaysian International Merchant Bankers Berhad (MIMB) and Aminvestment Bank where he was managing the Malaysian Growth Fund, a USD45 million fund meant for foreign investors.
He later joined Mayban Securities as General Manager, Dealing/Business Development in 1997 and was later assigned to Mayban Investment Management Sdn Bhd as Chief Executive/Director until 2002. He was appointed as Head of Investment Services at Inter-Pacific Asset Management Sdn Bhd in September 2005 and held a Fund Manager’s Representative licence.
In 2007, he became the Chief Executive Officer of the Company and launched three unit trust funds. Subsequently, in September 2007, he joined Muara Sinergi (M) Sdn Bhd as a Managing Director until December 2013.
Pang Poh Ping
NON-INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Malaya in 1985. He has more than 10 years of working experience in professional accounting practice, property administration and marketing.
He has been with Berjaya Group Berhad since 1986 and was transferred to Inter-Pacific Securities Sdn Bhd in 1991 as Assistant Manager, Institutional Sales. He was appointed to the Board of Directors of Inter-Pacific Securities Sdn Bhd in December 1994.
Lee Teng Teng
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR/HEAD OF OPERATIONS
She holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics from University of London.
She has over 23 years of experience with Inter-Pacific Securities Sdn Bhd where she started her career as a Credit Control Officer in February 2000 and has been involved in the management of the daily overall functions of the Operations and Customer Services.
She was the Head of Dealing from 15 November 2016 until she was appointed as Executive Director/Head of Operations on 6 December 2021.
Prior to joining Inter-Pacific Securities Sdn Bhd, she was attached to Citibank from 1998 to 2000.

Lee Teng Teng
Executive Director/Head of Operations
She holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics from University of London.
She has over 23 years of experience with Inter-Pacific Securities Sdn Bhd where she started her career as a Credit Control Officer in February 2000 and has been involved in the management of the daily overall functions of the Operations and Customer Services.
She was the Head of Dealing from 15 November 2016 until she was appointed as Executive Director/Head of Operations on 6 December 2021.

Mark Lincoln Ooi
Head of Dealing
He holds a professional qualification with the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (UK) and is a Fellow member. He joined Inter-Pacific Securities Sdn Bhd as a Management Executive in January 1992 and has more than 26 years stockbroking experience, and has been involved in the management of the daily overall functions of the Operations, Customer services and Finance Department from 1997 to 2011. He was a Company Dealer from June 2011 until he was appointed as Head of Dealing on 6 December 2021.
Prior to joining Inter-Pacific Securities Sdn Bhd, he was attached to CIMB Securities Sdn Bhd from 1990 to 1991.
Victor Wan Kum Seng
HEAD, RESEARCH
Victor has been an equity analyst for more than 25 years. He started his career with OCBC Securities (Melaka) (now part of RHB Investment Bank) in 1993, covering stocks in the construction, property and building materials sectors. He then joined South Johor Securities (now part of AMInvestment Bank) in 1996 as a Senior Analyst, before moving to Mercury Securities in 1998. In addition to equity research, Victor was also a fund manager with Mercury Asset Management for two-years.
In 2006, he was appointed the Head of Research of Jupiter Securities (now part of CGS-CIMB) to lead a team of analysts in undertaking both fundamental and technical analysis on stocks listed on Bursa Malaysia.
In 2008, Victor joined Standard and Poor’s Equity Research (now CFRA Malaysia) as a Senior Analyst where he conducted fundamental research on stocks listed in Malaysia, Singapore and China, primarily in the construction, property, infrastructure and building materials sectors. He then joined Malacca Securities in 2012 as the Head of Research.
Victor is a graduate from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Business Administration and also a Masters of Commerce degree holder from the University of New South Wales in Australia.
Elda Mazleen Binti Mazlan
HEAD, COMPLIANCE
She graduated in July 1998 with a degree in Business Administration from the University of Bath, United Kingdom. She started her career as Management Trainee in Jaya Jusco Stores Berhad. In May 1999, she joined IPS as a Management Trainee cum Dealer’s Representative.
She was assigned to be an officer in the IT Department in September 2001 before moving back to be with the Institutional Sales department as a Manager in October 2004. Subsequently, in September 2005, she was promoted to head the Compliance Department.
Tey Chooi Huan
HEAD, FINANCE
She holds a professional qualification with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and is an Associate Member of the same professional body. She joined Inter-Pacific Securities Sdn Bhd as Officer, Finance in November 1997 before being promoted to Assistant Manager, Finance in October 2002 and subsequently to Finance Manager in January 2008.
In January 2009, she was redesignated as Head, Finance. Prior to joining Inter-Pacific Securities Sdn Bhd, she was attached to UOL Factoring Sdn Bhd and Bespile Sdn Bhd from 1995 to 1997.
Shim Lai Yuen
Head, IT
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Campbell University, North Carolina USA and a Diploma in Computer Science from Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TARC).
She joined Inter-Pacific Securities Sdn Bhd as a System Analyst in May 2000 before being promoted to Senior Manager, Information Technology in January 2018 and subsequently to Head, Information Technology in January 2020. She has more than 20 years working experience in the financial services industry and has been involved in IT operations, project management, application development, as well as application support management.
Prior to joining Inter-Pacific Securities Sdn Bhd, she was attached to Hong Leong Life Assurance from 1996 to 2000.
Lim Yin Ping (Jamie)
Head, Customer Service
Jamie assumed the role of Head, Customer Services at Inter-Pacific Securities Sdn Bhd in August 2023, bringing with her a wealth of experience spanning over 28 years in the financial services industry. Her journey in this industry commenced in 1995 with HLG Securities Sdn Bhd (now Hong Leong Investment Bank Berhad), followed by a notable tenure at AmSecurities Sdn Bhd (now AmInvestment Bank Berhad) from 2000 to 2015.
Her professional trajectory includes serving as Vice President of Malacca Securities Sdn Bhd in 2015, where she spearheaded initiatives in the Online Business division before transitioning to the Operations Department. In this capacity, she oversaw pivotal projects, enhanced customer services, and optimized operational workflows to align with organizational objectives.
Jamie is renowned for her strategic acumen, adept coordination, and strong leadership prowess. Her results-oriented approach has consistently yielded success, evident in her track record of guiding operations teams, streamlining support functions, and championing the implementation of innovative processes to drive operational efficiency.
Nazlizah Mohd Nazri
Head, Internal Audit
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Universiti Utara Malaysia.
She joined Inter-Pacific Securities Sdn Bhd as Internal Audit Manager in April 2023 and was subsequently promoted as the Head of Internal Audit Department in January 2024.
She has over 9 years of experience in the financial services industry specializing in financial auditing, internal auditing, risk, compliance, operations and methods.
Lee Yan Hoon
HEAD OF BRANCH, JOHOR BAHRU OFFICE
Ms Lee joined Eng Securities Sdn Bhd in 1997. She was responsible for the Accounts and Treasury functions.
Following the merger between Inter-Pacific Securities and Eng Securities Sdn Bhd on 11 March 2006, Eng Securities Sdn Bhd was converted into a branch office and she was designated as Head, Finance, Johor Bahru Branch and subsequently promoted to Head of Branch on 1 January 2013.
Ms Lee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Australia and is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and the CPA Australia. She was with KPMG Peat Marwick from 1993 to 1996.
Goh Yik Tee
HEAD OF BRANCH, PENANG OFFICE
Mr. Goh is a highly accomplished professional with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Hertfordshire, UK, and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
With over 12 years of experience in stockbroking industry, Goh has managed daily functions of Operations and Dealing. Prior to joining Inter-Pacific Securities Sdn Bhd in June 2023, he was attached to Malacca Securities Sdn Bhd from 2012 to 2023, served as the Penang Branch Head of Marketing and has held the position of Head of Branch since 2017.
